OUR STORY

We have been offering safe, effective mental health support to the Banbury and North-Oxfordshire community since 2009. Originally based near the Horton Hospital on Oxford Road, we have now moved into the heart of Banbury, and our clients benefit from fully refurbished and soundproofed therapy rooms on Parsons Street.  Here we provide confidential face-to-face and online counselling and psychotherapy to suit all needs, both therapeutically and financially.  We also offer Counselling Skills and Studies on site through our flourishing Academy supported and accredited by CPCAB, providing gold standard counselling training to meet the demand for high quality counsellors and psychotherapists.

The counsellors and psychotherapists that work at The Banbury Therapy Centre are all fully qualified and belong to professional organisations.  We are very proud of the range of modalities and specialities that we offer from our centre and we ensure that all our members are regularly supervised and are working in an ethical and safe framework.

Welcoming

Our welcoming reception area is staffed at all times by our professional and approachable receptionists in line with our principle of no lone working. In this way we offer safety and security to all practitioners working at Darwin House.

Versatility

As well as 1:1 and couples counselling rooms, we also have a variety of training & group rooms, with a capacity of up to 15 people, each one with it’s own character, decorated and furnished to the highest standards with a warm and professional atmosphere.

Our Academy has grown into a stable and flourishing organisation with 160 students, graduating 30 counsellors a year. Our team of tutors specialises in delivering face to face counselling training to small groups, of no more than 12 students. We offer Counselling Skills and Studies on site at various levels to suit all requirements supported and accredited by the CPCAB.
