The History of CPCAB

From their beginnings in 1993 CPCAB has grown to become the UK's leading specialist awarding body in counselling and life coaching. Forming part of the Counselling and Psychotherapy Services Group (CPS) they offer vocational qualifications in over 130 training centres throughout the UK and overseas with over 10,000 candidates registering with us each year. In addition to qualifications they also produce a number of assessment and training DVDs in basic counselling skills and common life and developmental problems.  Their success is based on our commitment to developing competent counsellors - they are the only awarding body run by counsellors for counsellors. This practical experience of counselling gives them a unique ability to design and support vocational qualifications in this and related fields.
